Dirty Ryan's: RIP

One of the cruelest jokes ever played on lower Manhattan's beer drinkers is the closure of Ryan's Sports Bar, affectionately known Dirty Ryan's.

This place had a really friendly bartender and the patrons were an eclectic and ethnic mix of construction workers, office workers, young and old.

The sign on the door says that Ryan's has "moved" to Cliff Street, where Ryan Maguires is located. That would be believable if Ryan Maguires hadn't already been there all along as a totally different bar with a totally different crowd.
