Those of you who are fans of Thai food, read on!
The best Thai restaurant in all of downtown (in my opinion) is Cafe Sage:
Located at the corner of John and Cliff Streets, Cafe Sage is an inexpensive and unpretentious restaurant with absolutely the nicest staff you could imagine. We eat here at least twice a month, and the food is consistently excellent.
Then there's Bennys, on the corner of Gold Street and Fulton Street. This restaurant is a bit tougher to find because it's hidden below street level. Quite frankly, it doesn't look like much at all from the outside. It's a classic example of the expression "a hole in the wall" restaurant...
Actually it's more like a hole in the ground...
...but don't let looks deceive you. This is a solid restaurant, not fancy and certainly not expensive, and they make a mean massaman curry.
